Gallery crawling
Take
in the inspiring visual arts shows at Northfield's many exhibit
venues, including the Northfield Arts Guild Gallery, St. Olaf College
and Carleton College galleries, private
studios and other public showrooms. While crawling from gallery
to gallery, grab a cup of coffee or light lunch at a
local restaurant.
Curtains up
The
Northfield Arts Guild Theater, featuring local talent, offers an annual
season of plays and musicals.
There are three theater groups at Carleton College that give regular
performances, and St. Olaf College’s theater department presents
five theatrical productions per year, plus a one-act play festival on
four evenings each May.
Hear the music
Northfield is well known for
the quantity and quality of music
performances and events that take place almost daily around town.
Thousands of visitors come to Northfield each December to enjoy the
famous St. Olaf Christmas Festival.
In June, the Bridge Chamber Music Festival
offers a three-day event dedicated to presenting chamber music concerts
of the highest quality.
